Lynne Berman is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Los Angeles working in drawing, collage, performance, and installation.  Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at such venues as the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, Orange County Museum of Art, Center for Contemporary Art, Cincinnati, Pomona College Museum of Art, Montgomery Gallery, Torrance Art Museum, Swiss Cultural Institute in Rome, Los Angeles International Airport, and Tom Jancar Gallery in Los Angeles.  She was included in the exhibition Some Paintings: The Third LA Weekly Annual Biennial, curated by Doug Harvey.  She was the recipient of a Los Angeles Artist Fellowship Laboratory for Public Art, the City of Los Angeles Fellowship (C.O.L.A), and a Durfee Foundation grant.  Her work has been written about in Art in America, X-tra, and Art in Text, Art 21 Blog, and the L.A. Weekly.  She has curated and organized exhibitions.  Her performances have been presented in museums and galleries as well non-traditional sites such as supermarkets, the Los Angeles riverbed, train stations, and public plazas. 

Lynne Berman teaches at Cal State University Los Angeles and Pasadena City College.  She is a member of Artists for Democracy, a group that promotes voting participation through art’s based activities on college campuses.
